The mission of the COSS GIS Lab is to provide state of the art facilities and training for tomorrow's professional planners and geographers who will be using GIS technologies. In addition, the lab endeavors to offer state of the art equipment, software and facilities for research agendas throughout the college that have GIS components.

Statistical resources provided by Center for Demography and Population Health include Stata Network Licensing, Stata learning class, statistics books for loan, and statistical consulting services. These resources are available for faculty and graduate students across units in College of Social Science. The goal of this service is to help social researchers perform high quality research, with the greatest emphasis on data analysis related to extramural grants proposals and projects. We provide advice and resources to enable you to develop and/or extend your statistical skills, helping you to use popular statistical packages (currently primarily on Stata) for the analysis of research data.

Center for the Study of Population Library

The Center for the Study of Population Library is a large repository of state, federal, and international documents related to the study of populations. It is located in the Population Center, on the sixth floor of Bellamy.

Peer Advising Center

The Peer Advising Center for the College of Social Sciences was one of the first of its kind on the Florida State campus. The resources of the center are available to all students in the college, from 8-5 Monday through Friday in room 101A Bellamy. The center is staffed by one full-time advisor, as well as several part-time peer advisors who are juniors and seniors in the college, specially trained to work with students on academic and career issues. The center also has resources available to the students for researching careers and graduate programs.
