Student Organizations

Synoptikos

Synoptikos is the graduate student organization for the Department of
Urban & Regional Planning. This organization plays a vital role in the
academic and social programs of the Department. Through a variety of
programs, it provides the students, faculty, alumni, and professionals with a
wide array of intellectual stimuli, social activities, and administrative and
employment services.

Purpose:

1. To promote professional and intellectual stimulation among the
students by service as a vehicle for exploration of ideas outside the
formal classroom contents;
2. To facilitate the exchange of information between the faculty, staff
and students of the department of Urban and Regional Planning at
Florida State University;
3. To promote good fellowship through the sponsorship of social
activities;
4. To assist new planning students and visiting educators through such
activities as determined by the executive committee or as the
membership may direct.
