Congratulations to Ph.D. candidate John Sulik, whose article entitled “Feature Extraction for Darfur: Geospatial Applications in the Documentation of Human Rights Abuses” is accepted for publication in the International Journal of Remote Sensing. John is the leading author, and his co-author Dr. Scott Edwards is from Amnesty International, USA (November 2009)

paper entitled "Modeling hurricane disaster relief distribution with a
hierarchical capacitated-median model" accepted for presentation at the
same TRB meeting(October 2009)
Congratulations to Libin Zhou for being the lead author for the recently accepted article by Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing (PE&RS): Training Algorithm Performance for Image Classification by Neural Networks. PE&RS is a leading academic journal in remote sensing(September 2009)
Congratulations to Kelsey Scheitlin, Jill Malmstadt, and Robert Hodges for their authorship of a paper that will appear in the Journal of Geophysical Research entitled "Towards Increased Utilization of Historical Hurricane Chronologies". The lead author is Kelsey and JGR is an ISI journal with an ISI impact factor of 5.57 (September 2009)
