H. George Frederickson

H. George Frederickson is the Edwin O. Stene Distinguished Professor of Public Administration at the University of Kansas. He is President Emeritus of Eastern Washington University. Frederickson is the author or co-author of The New Public Administration, The Spirit of Public Administration, The Public Administration Theory Primer, and Measuring the Performance of the Hollow State. His most recent book, Social Equity and Public Administration will be published in January, 2010.
Frederickson is a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and serves on the Academy Board of Directors. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory. Frederickson has received the Dwight Waldo Award, The Charles Levine Award, The John Gaus Lecture Award, and the Distinguished Research in Public Administration Award.
The Lifetime Award for Contributions to Public Administration Research of the Public Management Research Association is named in his honor as is the Public Administration Times Best Article Award.
