Portfolio
The Online Portfolio is intended to be an electronic collection of your work as a master’s student in the Public Health program at Florida State. The MPH program is centered around training students in a set of core competencies critical to those working in the field of public health. The portfolio records and documents each student’s achievement of these core competencies. In the portfolio, students demonstrate their achievement of each of the core competencies by explicitly connecting work done while in the program to specific competencies. The portfolio should include courses taken, major research papers, the capstone project, internship experience, presentations given, GIS map projects, and other materials that demonstrate each student’s skills and abilities. At the end of the program, department faculty review each student’s portfolio to ensure that they have in fact mastered each of the competencies and is ready for graduation and the awarding of a Master’s degree. Additionally, the Online Portfolio can be used as an electronic resume as students seek to join the job market. You can find the Online Portfolio Tutorial on Blackboard
