About The Workshop Leader

Susan joined the Florida Council on Economic Education three years ago. Since that time, she has written curriculum for the Council and traveled the state training teachers in the use of the Council’s economics programs. Her expertise and classroom experience make her uniquely qualified to provide practical suggestions on how to make economics come alive in the classroom. She has 15 years of experience teaching in the Pinellas County Public School System. During the time she was a classroom teacher, she worked on committees that wrote and led workshops in social studies, science and ethics curriculum for the county. During 12 of her teaching years, she created and implemented student projects in economics that placed in county, state, and national competitions.
