About the Workshop
Established in 1986, the Florida Stock Market Challenge is a motivating approach to learning about the American economy. Students participate in an exciting investment simulation that allows them to develop and manage a hypothetical $100,000 investment portfolio, as well as compete for the best portfolio performance. The simulation is offered to students in grades 4 - 12 and is integrated into social studies, mathematics, and language arts classes.
Comments from Teachers
I have students tell me and show me through their actions that they really see a connection between today's class work and tomorrow's future success!
The programs have helped to reinforce my curriculum in economics and FCAT skills in reading, writing, and math.
